<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base of a display device equipped with a torque limiter device which can suppress an increase in the number of components, and to provide the torque limiter device. <P>SOLUTION: The base 30 of a liquid crystal display 100 (the display device) comprises a stepping motor 34 for turning a display body 10, and a transmission gear part 33 for transmitting the driving force of the stepping motor 34 to a turning part 31. The transmission gear part 33 includes the torque limiter device 60 having a driven side gear 61 having a plurality of piece portions 61b integrally provided concentrically with a rotating shaft, a driving side gear 62 fitted to outer peripheral faces 16c of the piece portions 61b of the driven gear 61, and a spring member 63 pressed into inner peripheral faces 61d of the piece portions 61b of the driven side gear 61 to press the piece portions 61b against the driving side gear 62. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
