PON SYSTEM AND RANGING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OLT, ONU and PON system capable of utilizing a band effectively and starting not less than 100 ONUs quickly.

SOLUTION: The OLT receives a plurality of distance measurement signals transmitted from a plurality of ONUs in one section of a ranging window region. Immediately after the distance measurement signal is received, a delimiter detection circuit is made effective for resetting an automatic threshold circuit.
