<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with recalibration while an optical pickup unit is connected to a main body part. <P>SOLUTION: When the optical pickup unit 2 is connected to a calibration tool 22 to adjust laser beam power, a PC 13 receives a signal showing laser beam power from a power meter 21, adjusts a DAC value of an APC circuit 14 and a DAC value of an LD 4 according to a control program included in the PC 13 and stores data indicating the adjusted values into an EEPROM 7. The PC 13 is also configured to receive a control signal 15 outputted by the APC circuit 14 and a voltage signal 16 outputted by an I-V amplifier 6 through ADCs 19 and 20, receives the voltage signal 16 and the control signal 15 obtained when the laser beam power reaches a target value, and stores data instructing the values of the respective signals 15 and 16 into the EEPROM 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
