PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method for preventing rain and harmful materials penetrating into a clearance in a joint part in a steel structure while protecting the steel structure from rust, which is generated due to deterioration of the coating by rain, harmful materials or the like, in a clearance, where the steel structure abuts concrete, made by contraction and oscillation of the concrete. SOLUTION: The antirust/thick-coating waterproofing method 2 is executed on an important junction part of a steel structure 1 as well as the range of 100 mm or more of the circumferences, so as to prevent the harmful materials from penetrating into the junction part. Also, the resin antirust/thick-coating waterproofing method 2 is executed on a contact portion of the steel structure 1 and concrete 6 above and below 100 mm-200 mm including the contact face, so as to prevent long-term deterioration of the coating and thus to protect the steel structure 1 from the harmful materials. After the concrete is placed and dried, another resin antirust/waterproof thick-coating method 3 for a flange part is executed up to a rising part 4, so as to prevent the harmful materials from penetrating into the clearance between the steel structure 1 and the concrete 6 for protecting from destruction due to rust corrosion.
