PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium feeder capable of reducing pressure loss of air supplied from a blower means so as to maximize paper separating effect of air current. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a medium housing means to load and house a plurality of mediums, a medium feeding means to separate the uppermost medium on the medium housing means and feed one by one, and the blower means to blow air to the loaded medium. The medium housing means is provided with a first regulation means to regulate the medium from a roughly perpendicular direction to the feed direction. The blower means is disposed to blow air through an opening opened in the first regulation means. A second regulation means is provided on the first regulation means in such a way that air is blown by the blower means to the loaded medium roughly in the perpendicular direction to the feed direction, and that air is blown to the loaded medium with a specified distance apart.
