PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a noise reduction circuit capable of surely detecting and removing a single pulse by removing rectangular waves from noise signal; a noise reduction method; and a video device. SOLUTION: The noise reduction circuit comprises: a frame memory part 31 for frame-delaying video signal a; a first calculation part 32 which subtracts frame-delayed video signal b provided from the frame memory part, from the video signal for outputting a frame differential signal c; a rectangular wave removing part 33:41 for removing rectangular wave component from the frame differential signal c of the first calculation part; a pulse discrimination part 33:42 which receives the frame differential signal c of which a rectangular wave component has been removed by the rectangular wave removing part and removes continuous pulse components therefrom for outputting a single pulse component d; and a second calculation part 36 for subtracting the single pulse component d of the pulse discrimination part from the video signal a.
