PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus allowing a user to reaffirm the change of a setting, and preventing occurrence of a setting mistake. SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus is provided with: a determination means 406 determining whether a condition set in a providable function is equivalent to an initially-set condition when reading of image data of a document is completed; and a continuation accepting means 407 inquiring whether function provision should be continuously executed when the set condition is not equivalent to the initially-set condition, keeping the set condition when selection of continuation has been accepted, and initializing the set condition when selection of discontinuation has been accepted. Thereby, a user is allowed to reaffirm the change of the setting. When the selection of continuation has been accepted, the image forming apparatus is instantly made to provide a function of the same setting by a setting having been input once and, when the selection of discontinuation has been accepted, the initially-set condition is immediately established, whereby occurrence of a setting mistake can be prevented.
