PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering device in which a device structure can be simplified while comprising a mechanism for energizing a worm shaft against a worm wheel to the axial and the radial directions.SOLUTION: A power steering device includes a holder member 21 which houses and holds a second bearing 14 that bears a tip side shaft part 11c of a worm shaft 11 and is configured so that the rotational axis of the worm shaft 11 is movable in a gear engagement direction that is a direction to approach a rotational axis of a worm wheel 12, and a plunger mechanism 30 which is mounted at a gear housing 15 and energizes the holder member 21 to the gear engagement direction. A plunger slide contact surface 22a which is an inclination surface that divides the energizing force of the plunger mechanism 30 into the rotational axis direction of the worm shaft 11 and the gear engagement direction is provided in the area which is at the outer peripheral side of the holder member 21 and in contact with the plunger mechanism 30. |
