PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover opening/closing mechanism which allows the body thereof to be supported with a hand by use of the handle of an opening/closing cover without increasing the rigidity and strength of the cover, and also to provide an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: The cover opening/closing mechanism includes a side cover 70 attached to one side surface of the apparatus body 10. First hinge mechanisms 71 supporting the side cover 70 freely rotatably are provided on both sides of the lower end of the side cover 70. The handle portion 73 is provided in the width-direction middle of the lower end of the side cover 70. A second hinge mechanism 80 supporting the side cover 70 freely rotatably is provided in the width-direction middle of the lower end of the back of the side cover 70. |
