The invention relates to a sealing element for a brake cylinder, wherein the brake cylinder comprises a spring accumulator brake cylinder (1) and an operating brake cylinder (2), wherein the spring accumulator brake cylinder (1) is designed as a membrane cylinder comprising a first spring (12) that is disposed within the spring accumulator brake cylinder (1) and that can be compressed by means of a spring accumulator piston (7) and a first membrane (8) under the effect of compressed air, wherein a second piston rod (21) of the operating brake cylinder (2) can be actuated indirectly by means of the spring accumulator piston (7) via a first piston rod (5), and wherein, when the compressed air does not act on the spring accumulator piston (7), the first spring (12) can be compressed by means of a release screw (14) that can be removed from the brake cylinder, and wherein an additional sealing element (16) is disposed between a first crucible-shaped cover (3) of the spring accumulator brake cylinder (1) and the first spring (12), said sealing element bringing about a seal between the spring accumulator piston (7) and a first spring chamber (9) of the spring accumulator brake cylinder (1) in the compressed state of the first spring (12). |
