PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the lens surface of an objective lens from colliding with an optical disk.SOLUTION: The optical pickup device includes a first objective lens (L1) condensing a first laser light on an information recording layer of D1 in a first mounting state where a first optical disk (D1) is mounted on a turntable (T), a second objective lens (L2) condensing a second laser light on an information recording layer of D2 in a second mounting state where a second optical disk (D2) is mounted on the T, and a lens holder which is capable of moving along a radial direction while integrally holding the L1 and the L2 to be adjacent as the outer peripheral side and the inner peripheral side respectively in the radial direction along the D1 in the first mounting state and the D2 in the second mounting state. The disk surfaces of the D1 in the first mounting state and the D2 in the second mounting state and an opposing surface opposing the disk surfaces of the L1 and the L2 are nearly parallel, and the minimum distance between the disk surfaces and the opposing surface in the direction of the rotation axis of the T is larger than the thickness in the direction of the rotation axis of the T. |
