<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide bacterial strains efficiently producing L-amino acids and a method for efficiently producing the L-amino acids using the bacterial strain. <P>SOLUTION: The method is to culture the bacteria belonging to Enterobacteriaceae in a medium, produce and accumulate the L-amino acids in the medium or bacterial cells and harvest the L-amino acids from the medium or the bacterial cells. The bacteria are modified to enhance mannose PST activity by enhancing expression of the gene coding for the mannose PST by increasing copy number of the gene having L-amino acid productivity and coding for the mannose PTS or modifying an expression regulating sequence of the gene. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
