Provided is a medium transaction device, in which partitions (61), which separate the interiors of cassette slots (18) from a conveyance unit (13U), are disposed at the rear ends of the cassette slots (18), and furthermore, discharge motors (65) and money dispensing machine-side gears (66) are disposed on the faces (front faces) of the partitions (61), said faces facing the interiors of the cassette slots (18). Thus, when paper currency cassettes (11) are mounted in the interiors of the cassette slots (18), it is possible, with the partitions (61), to conceal cassette-side gears (50) as seen from gear insertion ports (47) of the paper currency cassettes (11), as well as the discharge motors (65) and the money dispensing machine-side gears (66) which are disposed on the front faces of the partitions (61), such that it is not possible to touch any thereof from the conveyance unit (13U) side which is aft of the partitions (61). |
