PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable weathering of polymeric materials to be further accurately evaluated.SOLUTION: At a first step S101 of a method, an absorption spectrum in the wavelength range of a light source on a blackboard intended to serve as a standard sample is multiplied by the spectrum of the light source to figure out a first energy, which is the energy to be absorbed by the blackboard irradiated with light from the light source. At a second step S102, an absorption spectrum in the wavelength range of the light source on a polymeric sample intended to serve as a test object is multiplied by the spectrum of the light source to figure out a second energy, which is the energy to be absorbed by the sample irradiated with light from the light source. At a third step S103, the degree of heat generation by the sample irradiated with light from the light source relative to heat generation by the blackboard irradiated with light from the light source is estimated from the quotient of division of the second energy by the first energy. |
