PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm more reliably with less workload whether or not washing has ended.SOLUTION: A mixture 2 contains a detergent and a marker substance. The detergent is used when smear sticking to the object of washing is to be removed. The marker substance is to be stuck to the object of washing, and its sticking force is greater than that of the smear sticking to the object of washing. The marker substance is insoluble, and its reflective characteristic or absorptive characteristic against light of a specific wavelength band is different from that of the object of washing. A photographic unit 202 picks up images of the object washed after application of the detergent and the marker substance. A determining unit 301 determines whether or not washing of the object has been completed on the basis of the size of a marker area in which the marker substance is photographed.
