PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device capable of enhancing the light extraction efficiency.SOLUTION: A light-emitting device 1a includes a mounting board 2a, an ultraviolet light emitting element 3 mounted on the mounting board 2a, and a cap 6a which is disposed on the mounting board 2a and has a recess portion 663 for housing the ultraviolet light emitting element 3. The cap 6a includes a cap main body 660 having a front surface 661 and a back surface 662, and the recess portion 663 is formed on the back surface 662. The cap main body 660 is made of glass through which ultraviolet rays radiated from the ultraviolet light emitting element 3 pass. The light-emitting device 1a further includes a resin portion 80 that covers the inner surface of the recess portion 663. The resin material forming the resin portion 80 is a material which has ultraviolet resistance to ultraviolet rays radiated from the ultraviolet light emitting element 3 and transmitting therethrough ultraviolet rays radiated from the ultraviolet light emitting element 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
