<p>A cartridge (10) for holding a supply of a flowable substance includes a cylindrical tube (12) which is closed at one end (14) by a slidable seal (16). An opposite end of the tube (12) is closed by an integral end wall (22) which is provided with a sealed nipple (24) extending from the centre thereof. Nipple (24) is provided with an external thread (26). A line of weakness (28) is formed about tube (12) near end wall (22). A flange (38) extends radially from the outer circumferential surface of tube (12) adjacent the line of weakness (28). Translucent strip (40) is formed along the length of the tube (12) to allow viewing of the position of the slidable seal (16) within the tube (12). To use the cartridge (10) in a grease gun, the seal (16) is pulled out and the end wall (22) cut off along the line of weakness (28). To use the cartridge (10) in a chalking gun, the cartridge (10) is simply dropped into the body of the chalking gun and end of nipple (24) cut off. To use the cartridge (10) in a vacuum gun, again end of nipple (24) is cut off and the nipple screwed into the vacuum gun.</p> |
