PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing one or more tastands or natural food, beverage, chewing gum, oral care composition (for example, tooth paste, mouthwash), tobacco or tobacco additives, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This tastands or the additives are obtained by preliminarily treating a plurality of Saccharum officinarum leaves (sugar cane leaves), their macerates, or their mixture and subsequently carrying out a steam distillation treatment, etc., on the leaves, macerates or mixture, and can be utilized as natural tastands or the additives for foods, beverages, chewing gums, oral care compositions, tobacco, smoking tobacco materials, etc. The tastands obtained from the Saccharum officinarum leaves (sugar cane leaves), their macerates, or their mixture can be compounded with e.g. other additives including nutritive assistance foods to increase the flavors of foods, beverages or chewing gums. |
