PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal structure capable of keeping its sealing performance even in the case where excessive pressure is applied to a gasket. SOLUTION: This seal structure is so constructed that a coned disk washer- like gasket 15 is clamped between the sealing surfaces of a cylinder head 12 and a fuel injection valve 20 of an engine 10. The structure is provided with a regulating part 25 for regulating the gasket 15 from being plastically deformed when the pressure of combustion gas suddenly becomes excessive to deform the gasket 15. The regulating part 25 is formed by projecting the whole periphery of the outer peripheral part in the sealing surface of the fuel injection valve 20 at a designated height toward the sealing surface of the cylinder head 12.
