PURPOSE: A radiographic apparatus and a method for processing radiation detection signals are provided to remove time delays from subtraction images by obtaining live and mask images from corrected radiation detection signals from which the time delay is removed. CONSTITUTION: A radiographic apparatus includes a radiator(1) for emitting a radiation toward an object to be examinated, a radiation detector(2) for detecting the radiation transmitted through the object, and a signal sampler(3). The signal sampler extracts radiation detection signals from the radiation detector at predetermined sampling time intervals. The radiographic apparatus obtains a live image and a mask image based on the radiation detection signals and obtains a subtraction image by performing subtraction on the live and mask images. A time delay remover(11) removes time delays from the radiation detection signals by using a recursive computation. The radiation detection signals related to the live image and the radiation detection signals related to the mask image are continually detected at the sampling time intervals. The live image, the mask image, and the subtraction image are obtained from the corrected radiation detection signals.
