A preferred embodiment comprises detecting the status of fuses within the IC, disabling input signals to redundant circuits(115) if none of the fuses have been blown, and enabling input signals if at least one of the fuses has been blown. By not propagating input signals to redundant circuits not being used, power consumption can be reduced significantly.
