PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide highly reactive coke for blast furnaces exhibiting high reactivity while retaining sufficient strength as coke for blast furnaces without using a limited and specific kind of coal, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The highly reactive coke for blast furnaces exhibiting high reactivity while retaining sufficient strength as coke for blast furnaces is manufactured, without using a limited and specific kind of coal, by preparing a catalyst 2 containing an alkaline earth metal compound, a transition metal or the like, incorporating either one or both of granules 3, obtained by mixing the catalyst 2 with coal 1, or granules 4, obtained by adhering the catalyst 2 on the surface of coal 1, with a blended coal 15 as a part 16 of the blended coal, and dry-distilling the blended coal in a coke oven 24. As concentrated catalyst component parts 12 exist dispersedly in the coke 11, the non-concentrated catalyst component part 13 ensures strength of the coke 11 to realize sufficiently high strength of coke as a whole.
