PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass substrate packing method capable of safely and compactly packing a glass substrate while packing and conveying the glass substrate for large liquid crystal displays having a film such as a color filter deposited thereon, and preventing the effect of particles, water content, and organic matters during the transport and storage, and a package suitable for conveying the glass substrate. SOLUTION: In the glass substrate packing method for forming a packed body by packing glass substrates of the predetermined number while the glass substrates in an erected state overlap each other in the transverse direction, or packing the glass substrates of the predetermined number while the glass substrate in a horizontally laid state overlap each other in the longitudinal direction, the package consisting of at least one glass substrate is subjected to the vacuum pack by using a laminate film for each package.
