PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical pencil which extremely facilitates position alignment of a rotary body with a lead letting-out means and consequently excels in productivity. SOLUTION: In this mechanical pencil, the rotary body rotating parallel to the axis of a holder tube is disposed and the lead letting-out means is operated by the rotating motion of the rotary body.
