PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece support device, making compact a mechanism for returning a workpiece support to a home position, and also locking the workpiece support in a support position in a stable state with a fixed force. SOLUTION: This workpiece support device 10 includes: a home position returning mechanism H for returning the workpiece support T from the support position to the home position. The home position returning mechanism H includes: a shaft member 17; and first and second movable members 21, 22 connected to the workpiece support T and mounted on the outer peripheral side of the shaft member 17 to relatively move to the shaft member 17. The home position returning mechanism H is constructed by a magnetic spring mechanism in which magnets 19, 20, 23 magnetized with different magnetic poles are disposed between the first movable member 21 and the second movable member 22, and between the first movable member 21 and the shaft member 17.
