PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem on a conventional cold storage type refrigerator that, when expanding pressure on refrigerant is set to be lower than critical pressure, most part of the refrigerant liquefied into mists flows in parallel to a cooling stage, and so it does not contact the cooling stage and is not directly heat-exchanged, resulting in the latent heat of the liquefied refrigerant not contributive to cooling. SOLUTION: The refrigerant liquefied into mists in an expansion chamber 37 flows from a cold storage front end opening portion 42 to a cold storage front end flow path 43 and it is jetted from a second cold storage side face opening portion 41 to collide with a cooling stage side wall 7a, thereby promoting heat exchange between the liquefied refrigerant and the cooling stage 7.
