#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves computing a model size e.g. model output size and model output pressure, based on a condition of a hydraulic machine (2) e.g. axial piston machine, by a computing device e.g. microcomputer (8), and/or storage device. The computed model size is compared with a corresponding measured variable e.g. input variable such as input pressure (Pi), and output variable such as output pressure (Po), of the hydraulic machine by the computing device for producing a reference size. The reference size is evaluated by an evaluating unit (22) to diagnose error of the machine. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a device for diagnosing a condition of a hydraulic machine, with a measuring device. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Method for diagnosing an abnormal condition of a hydraulic machine i.e. axial piston machine (claimed).
