PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ring binder mechanism with a metallic surface not revealed as an exposed surface of a housing. SOLUTION: This ring binder mechanism is equipped with an elastic polymer housing, and the housing has a center part and side wall parts, each extending downward along each side edge of the center part. A metallic ring support is supported between the side wall parts so as to allow the ring support to move to the housing. Each one of rings has a first ring member fitted to the ring support so that each ring can be interlocked with the ring support for opening/closing the ring. The housing can apply a spring force to urge the ring support in the direction of an opening position when the first ring member is located near the opening position, and urges the ring support in the direction of a closing position when the first ring member is located near the closing position.
