PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for repairing a silicone coating by coating again a silicone resin on a printing machine. SOLUTION: The method for repairing the silicone coating comprises processes (I) to (III). In the process (I), after the surface of a coating body 5 wound on a roller is cleaned with a solvent or is degreased with an alcohol and dried, the surface is coated with an excess silicone resin composition, and the roller and/or the coating body coated with the excess silicone resin composition are formed. In the process (II), before the silicone resin composition is dried, after the excess silicone resin composition is removed from the surface so that the whole face of the part coated with the silicone resin composition is coated with the silicone resin composition 6, the surface is smoothly surface-finished until the glossiness of the surface reaches 3-8. In the process (III), a silicone coating layer 7 is formed on the surface by drying and solidifying for 5-14 hrs, 25-95%RH and at 10-40°C after the surface finishing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
