PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus where the retaining of ink between a nozzle forming face and the edge part of a wiper blade is suppressed, and the scattering of ink into the apparatus can be suppressed upon the restoration of the wiper blade. SOLUTION: As shown in figure 6(a2), as a wiper holder 42 relatively moves from the surface of a third groove part 43a3 to the surface of a fourth groove part 43a4, a wiper blade 41 moves in a direction of being gradually separated from a nozzle forming face. Namely, since the height of the fourth groove part 43a4 is gradually lowered from the third groove part 43a3, the spacing H2 between the nozzle forming face of a recording head 39 and the bottom face of the fourth groove part 43a4 is gradually widen, and, the wiper blade 41 is gradually restored while being abutted against the nozzle forming face. Thus, the phenomenon that ink is scattered into the apparatus upon the restoration of the wiper blade 41 can be suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
