PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge head for efficiently introducing gas into cavities to eliminate a difference between pressure in the cavities and the atmospheric pressure and improve its reliability. SOLUTION: The liquid discharge head comprises a vibration plate 20 formed on an actuator substrate 1, and individual electrodes 12 opposed to the vibration plate 20 via the cavities 14. On the lower sides of partition wall portions 15 between the plurality of cavities 14, 14, individual communication passages 16 are provided along the longitudinal direction of the partition wall portions 15, individual communication passage holes 17 are provided for communicating the individual communication passages 16 with the cavities 14, and common communication passages 18 are provided for communicating the individual communication passages 16 with each other.
