PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape type diaper which effectively prevents tearing of elastic securing tapes while wearing or using a diaper. SOLUTION: The tape type diaper 1 has securing tapes 10 for securing a front panel 2 and the rear panel 6. Each of the securing tapes 10 has a substrate 48 and a fastener member 44 attached to the surface of the substrate 48. The substrate 48 is an elastic securing tape 28 having a first nonelastic region 34, an elastic region 32 and a second nonelastic region 30 formed successively. In the elastic securing tape 28, the second nonelastic region 30 side end of the substrate 48 is used as the distal end and the first nonelastic region 34 side end of the substrate 48 is used as the proximal end. The elastic securing tapes are bonded to the right and left side edges 6a and 6b of the rear panel 6 via the first nonelastic regions 34 of the substrates 48 in such a way that the boundaries between the elastic regions 32 and the first nonelastic regions 34 of the substrates 48 are arranged outside of the right and left side edges 6a and 6b of the rear panel 6.
