PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cavity ship reduced in frictional resistance with water by forming an air cavity at a bottom of a ship.SOLUTION: The air cavity ship 100 reduces the frictional resistance with the water by forming the air cavity at the bottom 101 of the ship, and includes vertical directional partition members 110 installed at both sides of the ship bottom so as to be projected from the ship bottom for partitioning the ship bottom part in the vertical direction, a horizontal directional partition member extending in the width direction along the ship bottom for forming a space area for the air cavity at the ship bottom by cooperating with the vertical directional partition member, and an air supply part 130 for supplying air to the space area so as to form the air cavity. The horizontal directional partition member can move between a retracting position extending in the same height as a ship bottom lower surface and a projecting position projected from the ship bottom lower surface. |
