A contactless power supply device is provided with: an inverter circuit (101) having a switching element, the inverter circuit (101) converting inputted direct current to alternating current and outputting the alternating current; a power transmission coil (12) to which the alternating current is supplied from the inverter circuit, whereby a magnetic flux is generated; and a control circuit (16) for performing PWM control of the switching element such that the alternating current is supplied from the inverter circuit to the power transmission coil. When the switching element is turned on, the control circuit adjusts the frequency of the alternating current supplied from the inverter circuit to the power transmission coil such that the current flowing to the switching element is within a prescribed range near 0.
