Provided are: a crosslinked fine particle dispersion which has excellent storage stability and contains, as an essential component, a polymerizable monomer that has a hydrophilic functional group; and a method for producing the crosslinked fine particle dispersion. A crosslinked fine particle dispersion of the present invention contains crosslinked fine particles, a surfactant and a basic substance. The crosslinked fine particles are formed from a monomer composition that contains a polymerizable monomer component having a hydrophilic functional group, a crosslinkable monomer component and a (meth)acrylic acid ester monomer component. The content of the polymerizable monomer component having a hydrophilic functional group is 0.1-20 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the monomer composition, and the content of the crosslinkable monomer component is 10-50 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the monomer composition. Consequently, this crosslinked fine particle dispersion is able to have excellent storage stability even in cases where the dispersion is stored at high temperatures for a long period of time. |
