In order to provide an elevator device capable of detecting that a second speed-governing mechanism cannot control speed due to a fault in a one-way clutch, etc., the present invention is provided with: a riding cage (300) into which passengers get on board; a speed governing rope (1) connected to a lift, including the riding cage (300), for ascending and descending inside a hoistway (200); a sheave (4); a rotating shaft (3) fixed to the sheave (4); a first speed governor (A) provided with a first rotor (A1); a clutch (5) for transmitting rotation when the riding cage (300) descends and stopping the transmission of rotation when the riding cage (300) ascends; and a second speed governor (B) provided with a second rotor (B1), the present invention being provided, in the second rotor (B1), with synchronous rotors (61, 71) rotating in synchronism with the operation of the second rotor (B1), and provided with rotation detection sensors (62, 72) for detecting the rotation of the synchronous rotors (61, 71), the rotating state of the synchronous rotors (61, 71) being monitored by the rotation detection sensors (62, 72). |
