Inductor System and Method

A system and method for providing and manufacturing an inductor is provided. In an embodiment similar masks are reutilized to form differently sized inductors. For example, a two turn inductor and a three turn inductor may share masks for interconnects and coils, while only masks necessary for connections between the interconnects and coils may need to be newly developed.

1. An inductor comprising:
a first coil and a second coil in a first layer; a guard ring around the first coil and the second coil in the first layer; a first interconnect connecting the first coil and the second coil in a second layer; and a second interconnect in the second layer, the second interconnect extending below both the second coil and the guard ring, but being electrically isolated from the second coil and the guard ring.
