PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sort a dispensing rejection bill inside a device without providing a special rejected bill storing unit.SOLUTION: A bill handling device 1 includes: a depositing and dispensing unit 13 for taking in a deposited bill inside a device body and dispensing dispensed bill outside the device body; a depositing and dispensing side transporting path P1 for transporting the bill taken in from the dispensing and depositing unit, an identification transporting path P3 for transporting to an identification unit 17, and a storage side transporting path P7; a reflux type bill storage units 21, 23 for storing or dispensing the bill transported on the storage side transporting path; a communicating path P9 for communicating the most downstream unit of a the storage side transporting path and the depositing and dispensing side transporting path; and a second bill retention drum 29, disposed along the storing and dispensing side transportation path, for temporarily retaining the rejected bill from the reflux type bill storage unit. Since the rejected bill is capable of being temporarily retained in the rejected bill retention unit, the dispensed rejected bill is capable of being sorted inside the device without providing a special rejected bill storage unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
