<p>The present invention relates to a ligature (33) used on a clarinet or a saxophone. The ligature (33), which is used to hold a reed (2) to the instrument's mouthpiece (3), contains a plastic insert or ramp (4), which is riveted to the ligature (1) by means of plastic rivets (5). By varying the size of the ramp (4), different types of woodwind reeds (2) can be accommodated. By varying the materials of the ligature (33), the sound emanating from the instrument can be modified in a pleasing manner.</p> |
