<p>A color material providing an ink composition being excellent in light stability, water resistance, coloring properties and heat resistance and an ink composition comprising the same. The ink composition comprises a color material, a polymer having a moiety which has ultra-violet rays absorbing activity and/or light stability imparting activity, water and a water-soluble organic solvent, wherein the color material is contained in the polymer. The ink composition has two preferred embodiments. In a first embodiment, the ink composition contains the color material as a dispersing agent. In a second embodiment, the polymer is present in the form of particles containing the color material. And, the ink composition comprises a dye or a pigment and a polymer having a moiety which has ultra-violet rays absorbing activity and/or light stability imparting activity, wherein the color material is contained in the polymer, and is present in the form of particles.</p> |
