PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost and weight by changing the material of main parts of a pulley device provided with a limiter mechanism, from iron metal material to resin material. SOLUTION: This power transmission is provided with a V-pulley 7 belt- driven by an engine and provided with a plurality of seat parts 14 at the inner periphery of a cylinder wall part 11, and an inclined wall 25 at the side face of a side wall part 12; a hub 8 connected to a driving shaft of a compressor and provided with a plurality of shoes 23 extended from the outer peripheral edge of the side wall part 12; and a spring 9 with one end part locked to a locking part 17 of an inclined groove 16 and with a pressing part 31 fitted into a retaining groove 26 of each shoe 23 to press each shoe 23 into each seat part 14. When the driving shaft of the compressor is locked, a hook part 32 of the spring 9 comes off the inclined wall 25, and the pressing part 31 gets into a pocket from the retaining groove 26 to weaken the energizing force of the spring 9. Limiter operation is thereby completed in an instant to completely cut off power transmission from the V-pulley 7 to the hub 8.
