PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fork terminal and its manufacturing method that can improve the electrical connection reliability at the contact face of the fork terminal with other electrical terminals. SOLUTION: The fork terminal 1 is formed by punching a metal plate with plated layer of Au, Ag, etc., on the surface of metal plate material 2 made of Cu alloy, etc. The top end of the fork terminal 1 is composed of a terminal main body 20 and a terminal locking portion 21. The terminal locking portion 21 comprises electrical connection locking portions 10a, 10b which are branched into a fork from the terminal main body 20, and is disposed at a position to lock, for example, a terminal etc. of other electrical components. The mutual opposing faces of the electrical connection locking portions 10a, 10b are made to be connection faces 11a, 11b, with the terminals of other electrical components. Burring is made on this connection faces 11a, 11b so that the plated layer 3 may appear thereat.
