PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fallen person identification device preventing troubles in the train operation by correctly detecting a fallen person fallen onto a track from a platform and a maintenance person. SOLUTION: A sensor unit 3 radiates the millimeter wave on a track 11 in a vicinity of a platform 10 in a station yard, and receives the reflected wave from a reflecting object present on the track 11 and the identification wave from an ID transponder 2 carried by a maintenance person, and detects each reflecting object. An alarm control device 4 determines whether the reflecting object is present on the track 11 from the fluctuation of the reflection intensity from each reflecting object and the position of the reflecting object, and if it is determined that the reflecting object is present on the track 11, the reflecting object is determined to be a fallen person if no identification signal from the ID transponder 2 is contained in the reflecting object detection signal identifying the reflecting object, and the reflecting object is determined to be the maintenance person if the identification signal is contained.
