<p>A molded plastic rivet (10) for affixing two parts to each other when said rivet is inserted through two mutually aligned apertures in said parts, said rivet comprising, a pin (14) having a head (38), a shank (36) and first and second latching offsets (40,42) at the distal end of the shank, a rivet body (12) having a head (20), and a shank that is insertable in said apertures and comprises several legs running away from the head of the rivet body, wherein approximately diametrically opposite protrusions (50,52) are configured on the side of the head of the rivet body at regions opposite the shank of the rivet body and are fitted with recesses or apertures (54,56) for receiving the arms of a fork-shaped assembly tool (66).</p> |
