<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing a worker, a document or the like from getting dirty by dirt on the outer surface of a detached cartridge by cleaning the outer surface of the cartridge simultaneously with the replacement work of the cartridge, and completing toner replenishing work by easily performing the replacement work of the cartridge without requiring skill or excessive caution. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, a developing cartridge 14 faces to a photoreceptor drum so as to develop an electrostatic latent image on the surface of the photoreceptor drum with stored toner, and a toner image is transferred and fixed on recording paper. In the apparatus, a cleaning pad 50 press-contacting and scraping the upper surface of the developing cartridge pulled out in replacement is disposed on a lever member 43 turned while engaged with an engaging part 42c at the edge of a lever member 42 inhibiting or allowing the replacement of the developing cartridge by turning between a lock position on the front of a replacing port and an unlock position on the outside of the periphery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
