Elastic pad for under-rail

A pad for underneath rails is made from elastic plastic or rubber and has two opposite sides characterized in that at least one of these sides is a surface which is at least partly defined by a simple and/or composite trigonometric sinusoidal and/or cosinusoidal function. This provides protrusions (3) and cavities (4) that are arranged alternately and change softly into another. The elastic pad may be used in railway tracks as an element attenuating vibrations and absorbing dynamic loads transmitted by vehicles to rails.
