The invention relates to obtaining and applying extracts of Corema album with reflective optical properties, which can reflect IR, visible and UV radiation, providing light and photoprotection, improving the aesthetic look thereof and preventing the harmful effects of same on the skin. Additionally, the active principles thereof, ursolic and oleanolic acids which are pentacyclic triterpenes and also reflective, are isolated.
