A method for manufacturing a carbon fiber reinforced/modified polyester resin, the method comprising reacting a mixture configured from (A) 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic polyester, (B) 5-150 parts by weight of carbon fibers, (C) 0.2-2 parts by weight of a binder comprising a polyfunctional epoxy compound having two or more epoxy groups in the molecule thereof and a weight-average molecular weight of 2,000-10,000, (D) 0.01-1 part by weight of a bonding reaction catalyst, and (E) 0.01-1 part by weight of a spreading agent at a temperature equal to or higher than the melting point of the thermoplastic polyester and increasing the melt viscosity of the mixture. |
