The present invention provides a wire electrode-feeding device, etc. suitable for limiting wire electrode running vibration and improving machined surface roughness even with a variety of wire electrode diameters and materials. A wire electrode-feeding device is provided with a back tension adjustment section for adjusting back tension that is applied on a wire electrode drawn out from a source bobbin, a tension-adding section, and a constant pressure discharging section for clamping the wire electrode, which has passed through the tension-adding section and an electric discharge machining unit, with a constant pressure and discharging same at a constant speed. The tension-adding section is provided with a low tension-adding part for applying tension on the wire electrode and a high tension-adding part capable of applying a higher tension than the low tension-adding part. The low tension-adding part applies tension after the high tension-adding part has applied tension, or the low tension-adding part applies tension without the high tension-adding part applying tension. |
