The objective is to reduce the generation of a double image or the like. The present invention pertains to a head-up display device (4) in which a display (6) by a display device (5) is projected on a combiner (8) through an opening portion (7), the display device (5) being installed in an instrument panel (3), the combiner (8) being provided above the opening portion (7), and the opening portion (7) being formed in the instrument panel (3). The display device (5) serves as a segment-type display unit (18). The segment-type display unit (18) is provided with a plurality of light sources (22) and a dial (23) having a plurality of display-forming sections (21).
